Pricing

The price of gold precious metals is generally quoted as a percentage over spot. Silver coins and bullion are generally quoted as a dollar amount over the spot price. Television and stock exchanges display spot prices and reflect the market prices for precious metals. Normally, the metal spot price is reflected in terms of 1 troy ounce. A troy ounce is the unit of weight traditionally used for precious metals and gemstones.

Government or private mints turn raw metals into coins and bars. A mint is an industrial facility which manufactures coins and bars. These companies add costs for minting, overhead and profit. The mints typically sell to a small group of wholesalers who buy billions of dollars per year from the mint. The wholesalers, in turn, sell to retail distributors who then sell directly to the public.

Eagle European Capital, LLC customers can expect to purchase precious metals coins and bullion above spot prices and on the low end of the range retail distributors charge.
